Elevating Water Priorities for Oregon Communities.
Water Justice for Oregon Communities
The Oregon Water Futures Project is a collaboration between water and environmental justice interests, Indigenous peoples, communities of color, low-income communities, and academic institutions.
Through a water justice lens, we aim to impact how the future of water in Oregon is imagined through storytelling, capacity building, relationship building, policymaking, and community-centered advocacy at the state and local level.

Framework for Water Justice
New framework shapes state and local efforts to advance a water justice agenda and address long-standing disparities in water resources by engaging low-income, rural, and communities of color as water actors and community assets.
Community Engagement Report
In 2020, the Oregon Water Futures Project co-conceptualized and facilitated a series of conversations with Native, Latinx, Black, and various migrant communities across the state – including Indigenous Latin American, Caribbean, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, Arab, Pacific Islander, and Somali communities.
Collaborating for Our Future
In recognition of the current water challenges and the increasing vulnerability of our water resources, the Oregon Water Futures Project was formed to elevate water priorities from communities currently underrepresented or historically discriminated against in water policy decision-making. State of Water Justice

But the reality is that there are far too many people in Oregon who struggle to have their water needs met every day. A new report expands the evidence base demonstrating how frontline communities are impacted by Oregon’s water challenges.
